Facing a massive lawsuit, The Washington Post seemingly admits in an editor's note that early reports on the incident involving Covington Catholic High School students and a native American activist at was inaccurate.
"Subsequent reporting, a student's statement and additional video allow for a more complete assessment of what occurred, either contradicting or failing to confirm accounts provided in" the paper conceded.
Nicholas Sandmann, the Covington student wrongly accused of of cruelly smirking at Native American activist Nathan Phillip during the encounter, is currently suing paper for $250 million over its lopsided coverage of the viral video.
