12 GOP senators join Dems to block Trump border declaration

As reported by thebl

Twelve Republican senators sided with Democrats Thursday and voted to block President Donald Trump’s declaration of an emergency on the southwest border.
Trump has vowed to veto the Democratic measure, which the House passed last month in a bid to stymie Trump’s efforts to spend billions of extra dollars on a U.S.-Mexico border wall.
Of the dozen GOP senators who went against Trump, just one — Maine Sen. Susan Collins — faces re-election next year.
A look at what the Republican defectors said about their votes:
— Lamar Alexander of Tennessee: “After a Revolutionary War against a king, our nation’s founders gave to Congress the power to approve all spending so that the president would not have too much power. This check on the executive is a crucial source of our freedom.”
— Roy Blunt of Missouri, a member of the GOP leadership: “I was aggressively opposed to the Obama administration’s attempts to circumvent Congress’s appropriating authority to prop up” the health-care law known as Obamacare. “The same principle should apply regardless of which party occupies the White House.”
— Collins: “I’m sure (the president) will not be happy with my vote, but I’m a United States senator and feel my job is to stand up for the Constitution. So let the chips fall where they may.”

All Evidence Points to Loretta Lynch Lying

It appears former Attorney General Loretta Lynch was lying about the DOJ’s role in the Clinton Probe.

As reported by magavoter.com
During the Clinton probe, even after her infamous tarmac meeting, Loretta Lynch claimed to be nothing more than a neutral party in the Clinton probe that would take the advice of James Comey.
However, we now know this flies in the face of ex-FBI lawyer Lisa Page’s testimony, who revealed the exact opposite – that the FBI was instructed by the Lynch led DOJ to not indict Hillary.

After President Trump’s victory, Loretta Lynch did not do much to hide her hyper-partisan true feelings, releasing this video calling for marching and blood in the name of anti-Trump resistance.
From WND

Ex-Attorney General Loretta Lynch famously announced confidently, when that little matter of her meeting with the husband of an FBI investigation target came up, that she would let the FBI decide whether Hillary Clinton was charged for her “extremely careless” handling of classified national secrets.

That, now, is being questioned

AOC Claims Ronald Reagan Was Racist and Divided Americans

Newly-elected Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Coretz implied beloved former President Ronald Reagan was a “racist” who tried to divide America.

Breitbart reported that Ocasio-Cortez said former President Ronald Reagan used “racist,” caricatures to pit “white working-class Americans against brown and black working-class Americans.”

Ocasio-Cortez said, “One perfect example, I think a perfect example of how special interests and the powerful have pitted white working-class Americans against brown and black working-class Americans in order to just screw over all working-class Americans, is Reaganism in the ’80s when he started talking about welfare queens.”

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) attacked former President Ronald Reagan over the weekend, claiming his policies are a “perfect example” of how powerful people “screw over all working-class Americans.”

What are the details?
While speaking at the South by Southwest Festival in Austin, Texas, Ocasio-Cortez defended her far-left progressive values. In doing so, Ocasio-Cortez “criticized the treatment of minorities throughout American history,” according to Fox News.

The freshman lawmaker then listed two specific policies she believes contributed to a toxic environment for minorities: Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s New Deal and Reagan’s economic policies, which are widely praised today.

“One perfect example, I think a perfect example, of how special interests and the powerful have pitted white working-class Americans against brown and black working-class Americans in order to just screw over all working-class Americans, is Reaganism in the ’80s when he started talking about welfare queens,” Ocaiso-Cortez said.

“So you think about this image of welfare queens and what he was really trying to talk about was … this like really resentful vision of essentially black women who were doing nothing that were ‘sucks’ on our country,” she continued.

“And it’s this whole tragedy of the commons type of thinking where it’s like because this one specific group of people, that you are already kind of subconsciously primed to resent, you give them a different reason that’s not explicit racism but still rooted in a racist caricature,” she went on to say. “It gives people a logical reason, a ‘logical’ reason to say, ‘oh yeah, no, toss out the whole social safety net.'”

Trump Fired Off on Ann Coulter

President Trump took to twitter over the weekend and fired shots at Conservatice author Ann Coulter.

 As reported by thehill.com
President Trump on Saturday called conservative commentator Ann Coulter a "wacky nut job" and said he was winning on the border.

Coulter is an immigration hard-liner and a big supporter of Trump's proposed wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, but she has been critical of the president because the wall has not yet been built.

"Wacky Nut Job @AnnCoulter, who still hasn't figured out that, despite all odds and an entire Democrat Party of Far Left Radicals against me (not to mention certain Republicans who are sadly unwilling to fight), I am winning on the Border," Trump tweeted. "Major sections of Wall are being built."
"Tens of thousands of illegals are being apprehended (captured) at the Border and NOT allowed into our Country," he added. "I am stopping an invasion as the Wall gets built."

Congressman Blasts Air Horn At Trump Official

A democratic representative decided to blast an air horn at a Trump official who said seismic air gun tests don’t harm whales.

As reported by thehill.com
Democratic Rep. Joe Cunningham (S.C.) blasted an air horn at a recent hearing to demonstrate how "disruptive" seismic air gun testing can be for marine animals.
In footage of a House Natural Resources subcommittee hearing Thursday, Cunningham pulled out an air horn, blasted the device and asked Chris Oliver, the assistant administrator for National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Fisheries, whether he found the sound to be disruptive.

"Was that disruptive, Mr. Oliver?" Cunningham asked.

"It was irritating, but I didn't find it particularly disruptive," Oliver responded.
"What about every, say, 10 seconds like seismic air gun blasting goes on for for days, weeks, months?" Cunningham continued.

"If I were that close to it, yeah, probably," Oliver said.

"What if you depended on sound for hunting your food and for communication? Do you think it would be disruptive?" Cunningham continued.

"At a distance of 20 feet, yes, it would be" Oliver said.

That's when the congressman asked Oliver how much louder than the air horn he thinks seismic air gun blasting is.
